NATIONAL SQUAD
First 16 Of 28 Named The convener of the national soccer selection panel (Mr J. G. Shawkle) has named the first 16 Players of a proposed squad of 28 to embark on a concentrgted programme this season, in preparation for New Zealand* entry into the world The national selectors will add to or delete from the squad a* they see fit. The N.Z.F.A. has also approved In principle a plan to assemble the squad In Auckland at regular Intervals for training sessions. All but five of the 18 players are from Auckland. The squad is: N. Seibert, C. La-limour, T. McNab, R. Mears, ' v „ l> «B raff . -I- Legge, p. Rennell, E. Thomas, w. Hunter, G. Lake, C. Shaw (Auckland), D. Phillips. T. Haydon (Canter, bury), A. Milne (Wellington), J. Ferrier, M. Ferguson (Otago).
