Higher Credit Balance
A credit balance of $84,653 in the county fund account at March 31, compared with a credit balance of $52,144 at that date last year, was reported to the Waimairi of the Federated Mountain County Council by the treasurer (Mr W. Knudsen). He said gross receipts for the financial y,ear were $2,681,211, compared with $2,599,238. From permits, licences and fees, the council received $82,286, compared with $75,480. Building permit fees totalled $20,824, compared with $28,486 in 1966-67, but heavy traffic licences produced $33,616, as against $20,278.
