“BEST N.Z. GOLFER"
(N.Z. Press Association) GISBORNE. The New Zealand international golfer. Miss H. Booth, who is playing in the British Isles, has won high praise from Enid Wilson, herself a noted player and now regarded as the top writer on women’s golf in Britain. Writing in the March issue of “British Golf Illustrated,” Miss Wilson said that Miss Booth played well in the Avia foursomes with the Welsh player, Miss P. Roberts, but said the pair had too many putts and were eliminated in the second round. Describing Miss Booth as a tall, magnificently built girl, Enid Wilson went on to say: “I thought that she was the best player I have so far seen from New Zealand.” Her long-range plan is to play in the British women’s open championship at Walton Heath in June.
