N.Z. BUTTER AND WILSON
(N.Z.P.A. staff correspondent) LONDON, April 19. Considerable confusion has arisen in London over reports of an interview given by the British Prime Minister, Mr Wilson, to the French magazine, “Paris Match.” Some reports of the interview have attributed to Mr Wilson the statement that ,New Zealand butter could not prevent him from reaching his goal of British entry into the European Economic Community. Publicity officials at 10 Downing Street deny that he made any such statement. The text of the interview tape-recorded by Government officers has been made available to officials at New Zealand House. They find nothing in it to give reason for concern.
