ORDERS FOR BOOK
Prof. Geering'e Work About 400 orders have been received by the Presbyterian Bookroom in Christchurch for Professor L. G. Geering’s book, “God in a New World,” published recently in Britain. The manager of the bookroom (Mr E. J. Ward) said yesterday that between 300 and 400 copies had also been ordered through bookrooms in Auckland, Dunedin and Invercargill. About 1000 copies have been ordered for New Zealand and it is expected that they will arrive at the end of this month or early in May. At the hearing of charges against him. Professor Geering said that in the book he had tried to set down for ordinary people something of how he saw the world today and the relevance of the Christian faith within it. Mr Ward said that a third printing of "A Trial for Heresy,” which contains the full text of the Presbyterian General Assembly’s hearing of the charges against Professor Geering last November, would be available in a few weeks. This printing would bring the number of booklets to 5000.
