PROBATION BREACH

Youth Gave Wrong Name (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 18. A youth who was convicted yesterday for handbag snatching under the name of “Jason Martin Rudolph,” was today charged with a breach of probation under the name of Martin Paki Trent. He admitted the offence. Mr E. F. Rothwell, S.M., remanded him in custody for sentence on April 24. A probation officer, Mrs A. M. Skinner, said Trent was released on two years probation from the Otahuhu Magistrate’s Court on October 17, 1966. On December 20, 1967, he failed to report to a probation officer. She said that Trent, as “Rudolph,” denied that he was Trent when Mr D. G. Sinclair, S.M., convicted and remanded him yesterday.
