RECOUNT RESULTS
Protest At Delay (N.Z. Press Association) GISBORNE, April 18. In protest at the delay in the issue of university entrance recount results, the principal of the Lytton High School (Mr J. C. Wilson) has written to the Director of Secondary Education (Mr M Hewitson). The Gisborne High School’s board of governors was advised of this last night after it had been reported that a Lytton High School pupil received notice of passing the examination by a recount on April 3, only two weeks before the 6A first-term tests The pupil had been in the lower sixth form since the beginning of the year and was seriously handicapped for a 6A year, said the convener of the Lytton High School committee, Mr E. Hansen.
