Peko-W. Gold Output Jumps

Gold production from PekoWallsend Investment, Ltd, Tennant Creek mines has almost doubled so far in the current year solely because of initial output from the rich Juno orebody. Figures show that the Tennant Creek mines, about 600 miles south of Darwin, produced concentrates containing 46,9910 z gold and gold bullion in the 40 weeks to April 9. This is 22,3860 z, or 91 per eent, above the 24,6050 z produced in the same period of 1966-67. The new Juno mine has only been working for 24 weeks and has only just started to come into full production. It produced 24,1600 z.
