Pipeline Theft
The police are investigating the theft of petrol from Mobil Oil New Zealand, Ltd’s, pipeline from Lyttelton to Heathcote. The thief drilled a hole in the pipe and inserted a tap, which was discovered recently. The police do not yet know how long the tap has been in position or how much petrol has been taken.
