Bowls Rinks Unchanged
The same eight players which brought the coveted Welch Trophy to the South Island for the first time at the end of last season, have been named by the Canterbury indoor bowls selectors (Messrs J. Greer, R Kogwood and G. Smith) to meet Ashburton on April 27. The two teams are: p. Nee (skip), N. Hocking (third), G. Taylor (second), J. Burrows (lead). F. Perham (skip), C. Ward (third). T. Austin (second), W. Blackler (lead). If Canterbury retains the A. S. Paterson Trophy, it will have to face a challenge from Marl* borough on May 11. Challenges have also been accepted from Golden Bay-Motueka (May 25). Nelson (July 6), Southland (July 27) and South Otago (August 24).
