Gore Mare To Travel Today
tf The Press” Special Service INVERCARGILL. Court Belle will leave for Riccarton this morning in the care of her Gore trainer, R. J. Cochrane, for the third day of the Canterbury Jockey Club’s Easter meeting on Saturday. The Bellborough mare will attempt to win the Great Autumn Handicap for the third time. Cochrane said yesterday that he would not engage a rider until he had studied the weights. Court Belle was scratched from the Riverton Cup on Saturday, but showed much of her dash by running a useful second to Superspan in the Fiord Handicap on Tuesday. She will be accompanied by Lonvato, which will be ridden by S. D. Hawthorne in the Peerswick Hurdles.
