Officers Of C.W.I.
Mrs E. G. Tait, of Doyleston, was re-elected president of the Canterbury East Fedeatlon of Country Women’s Institutes at its annual meeting yesterday. Members of the executive are: Mesdames I. Bilborough (Brookside), M. Bray (Hornby), J. Bowden (Brookside), H. S. Claughton (Prebbleton), R. Findlay (Springston), J. Keast (Springston), D. Robb (Hornby), H. Widdowson (Centre). Good service badges were presented to Mrs J. Alexander (Lakeside), Mrs A. L. Coleman (Ladbrooks), Mrs N. Keast (Springston), Mrs J. A. Miller (Irwell), Mrs I. Simpson (Templeton), and Mrs P. N. Ussher (Little River).

The trophy presented by Mrs E. G. Tait to the member gaining the most points was won by Mrs A. Shaw, of Hornby. Miss L. Gillespie, of Doyleston, was runner-up. The federation’s tray, presented to the institute gaining most points, was won by Hornby. Doyleston was runner-up.
