Winter Hours Sought

WELLINGTON, April 17. A Wellington hotel has applied to close its public bars for two hours on Saturday afternoons in the winter—the first application of its kind. The Carlton Hotel, in Willis Street, is seeking hours of 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., from May 1 to November 1 each year. The application will come before the Wellington Licensing Committee on May 1.
