$314 Loss In Bag Theft At Railway Station
A travelling-bag containing $3l, a camera worth $2OO, and clothing, of a total value of $314, was stolen from the foyer of the Christchurch railway station between 1.45 a.m. and 2 a.m. yesterday. In burglaries at two schools property worth $126 was stolen. A tape-recorder, a re-cord-player and two guitars, worth $lOl, were stolen between April 11 and yesterday from the Wainoni School, and a record-player worth $25 was stolen from the Fendalton School during the same period. Money totalling $7.97 was stolen from the Fendalton Free Kindergarten during the Easter holidays.
A pair of parson finches and a white guinea pig, worth $20.25 were stolen from Mountainview Aviaries, Racecourse Road, on Easter Saturday. A transistor radio worth $25 was taken from a Hills Road home between 8 a.m. on April 12 and 9.30 p.m. on Easter Day. Tools and cash, worth $7.28 were stolen from H. C. Horsley, Ltd, between April 11 and 16, and clothing worth $5 was stolen from the Marsden Drapery, Ltd, Hoon Hay Road, and tools worth $5 were stolen from Hoon Hay Service Station.
