NEW PLYMOUTH, April 16.
A $237,890 deficit will have to be met by underwriters to a $400,000 Taranaki Harbours Board loan which closed today. The secretary of the board (Mr J. G. Boddy) said today that at noon only $162,110 had been subscribed for the loan which was for dredging and reclamation works at the New Plymouth port.
