Sydney Stocks At Record Level

The Sydney stock exchange all-ordinaries index reached a record level yesterday on the first day of trading since the Easter holiday break.

The index rose 7.14 points to 494.71 points to head the previous level of 49129 points eet on February 5 of this year. Nickel finds in Western

Australia seemed to be behind the rise. Western Mining Corporation jumped 59c to 824 c, while B.H.P. rose 70c to 1995 c and at one stage reached 2000 c. C.R.A. was up 30c to 1400 c.
