Wheat Price Discussed
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 16. The controversial question of guaranteed prices for next season’s wheat harvest was discussed again by the Cabinet today. The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) told a press conference that the Ministers who met the representatives of the wheat-growers last week reported to the Cabinet on the talks. “The wheat-growers’ representatives have now gone back to discuss the matter with the growers,” he said. “After these discussions there will be further talks with the Government” Mr Holyoake said the two parties had made “reasonable progress” during their talks last week.
