SINCERITY WANTED
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) SEOUL, April 16. The South Korean President, General Chung Hee Park, today warned Hanoi to adopt a sincere attitude toward peace talks with the United States. In a statement released before leaving for Honolulu for talks with President Johnson, President Park said there would be a limit to concessions by the allied nations fighting in Vietnam. “1 want to take this opportunity to warn the Communis" ; that they should respond to negotiations with a sincere attitude if they want genuine peace in South Vietnam,” he said. President Park said while carrying on war, the allied countries had repeatedly made concessions to urge the Communists to accept negotiations President Park said he would discuss ways and means to bring about an honourable peace in South Vietnam and also “reaffirm the growing solidarity of the alliance between the United States and Korea,” in his talks with President Johnson.
Airline Chief Dead.—Sir Miles Wyatt, chairman of British United Airways, has died in Colchester, Essex, aged 64. B.U.A, is Britain’s largest non-State airline, and Sir Miles Wyatt was also the head of a string of other companies connected with aviation.—Colchester, April 16.
