Son Of Author In Death Fall

Damon Runyon jun., whose father was one of the most famous news reporters in America’s roaring twenties, fell to his death from a bridge in Rock Creek Park, Washington yesterday. He was 48. Runyon, who was a correspondent for the weekly “Washington Examiner,” had worked for a number of newspapers, including the “New York Herald Tribune” and its successor, the “World Journal Tribune,” and the old International News Service. He never acquired the wealth or fame of his father, who was a sports writer, columnist and short-story writer.
