The following officers were elected at the annual meeting of the Canterbury District Law Society:— President, Mr N. S. Bowie; vice-president, Mr J. E. Millar; treasurer, Mr C. M. Roper; immediate past president, 'lt E. J. Somers; council, Messrs A. Hearn, A. D. Holland, P. G. S. Penlington, B. L. Stanley, J. R. Woodward, R. E. Wylie, and R. P. Evatt (Timaru).
