Survivor Third In Zephyr Handicap
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. Miss S. Currie, of Christchurch, who was a passenger on the stricken Wahine last week, gained third place in the handicap section of the national Zephyr class yachting contest off Maraetai Beach yesterday. Miss Currie in Easterly, using borrowed sails because she had lost her own in the Wahine, sailed well in the heavy weather. The championship was won by J. Faire, of Hamilton, who
improved on his second placing in last year’s New Zealand contest. H. Davidson (Auckland), in Hauiti, took the handicap section. Results: Sixth Race. —Sirocco (D. Nicholls. Hamilton) 1, Zeppelin *M.
