INJURY TO SEAMAN
A deckman, Mr J. Staddon, of the pilot cutter Wairangi, suffered cuts to his right ear at Lyttelton yesterday morning when the vessel was berthing in the inner harbour. When a mooring line became taut it caught the wheelhouse door handle, which came off and struck Mr Staddon. He was taken to the Christchurch Hospital where he was treated and discharged.
