Woolston Pair Wins Snooker
In their first defence of the pairs snooker challenge title. W. Adams and W. Burney, of the Kaiapoi Working Men's Club, were beaten, 3-1, by R. Franks and T. Mintrom, of the Woolston Working Men’s Club. Woolston won the first frame comfortably, but the Kaiapoi pair took the next by one point. In the third frame Franks potted consistently to give Woolston its second frame, and a break 15 by Mintrom in the fourth gave Woolston victory. Franks and Mintrom should win their first challenge match, against T. Kahi and R. Saggers, of the New Brighton Working Men's Club,
