Lions Club’s New Pennant
The Christchurch North Lions Club has used the twin bridges across the Waimakariri River on the northern motorway as its motif for the club pennant. AH Lions clubs have their own pennants and Christchurch North's design has been evolved from several designs. The pennant is of white satin with blue and black as the predominant colours. Pennants are used to emphasise the dominant feature of the donor club and are given to visitors from other Lions clubs. The first batch of pennants has been sent to a member at present in South-East Asia for delivery to clubs he visits there The club, which is slightly more than a year old, has 35 members. It extends from Memorial Avenue to Marshland Road and from Innes Road to the Waimakariri.
