Air Force Help
The Royal New Zealand Air Force flights to assist the National Airways Corporation carry passengers across Cook Strait have been discontinued now that the backlog of passengers whose bookings were disrupted by the storm and the sinking of the Wahine, has been shifted. Flights were made between Wellington and Blenheim on Thursday and Wellington and Christchurch on Friday.
