Car Blown Off Road
(N.Z. Press Association) LEVIN, April 14. A strong southerly wind gust whipped a car off the Auckland-Wellington highway three miles north of -Levin at 3.45 this afternoon, injuring the three occupants. According to police, the wind lifted the car from the road and crashed it down again on the side of the road. In the vehicle were Miss Susan Gardner and Mr and Mrs Eric Gardner, all of Porirua. Mrs Gardner is in the intensive care unit at Palmerston North Hospital with suspected head injuries. The other two were not seriously injured, although they are being treated in hospital.
