Parun, has reached the final of the Husein Pacha Cup competition for players under 21, in the Monte Carlo tennis competition. In his semi-final, Parun beat P. Kakoulia (Russia), 0.-6, 7-5, 8-6. The New Zealander will meet G. Battrick (Britain), who defeated G. Goven (France), 7-5, 6-3. In the senior men’s singles. N. Pietrangeli (Italy) and A. Metreveli (Russia) qualified to meet in the final. Pietrangeli de feated another Russian, T. Lejus, 6-3, 6-2, and Metreveli eliminated M. Holocek (Czechoslovakia), 6-4. 3-6, 6-0.
