Violence In Kansas

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) KANSAS CITY, April 12. Gunfire broke out again in Kansas City’s Negro slums last night in spite of a rigid curfew aimed at ending the violence which had left six Negroes dead in the previous two nights. Two people were injured and 38 arrested, bringing the total taken into custody since Tuesday to 543. Two of those arrested, both snipers, were white men. Racial tension everywhere else in the United States seems to have subsided.
