FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—A large complex depression covers the New Zealand area. Forecast: Canterbury, Kaikoura Coast—Moderate or fresh south-west winds; cloudy and cool with only scattered light showers. Buller and Westland.—Moderate winds from the south or south-east; mainly fine with moderate day temperatures. Central Marlborough, Nelson. Light or moderate winds mainly from the east or northeast; cloudy and cool with isolated showers. Marlborough Sounds. Moderate winds between south-east and south; partly cloudy and cool; some isolated afternoon showers. Outlook: Fine on the West Coast, some showers about Canterbury and the Kaikoura coast; elsewhere mainly fine.
