Gomulka To Speak

The Polish Communist Party leader, Mr Wladyslaw Gomulka, is today due to make his first public statement since student unrest flared up in Warsaw 11 days ago and spread throughout the country. Television programme timetables issued early today included transmission of a speech by the 63-year-old Communist leader to a party meeting in Warsaw. Mr Gomulka was expected to make a major policy state ment on the student demonstrations, which have been marked by violent street clashes with police.
