DESTROYED
“The Press” Special Service AUCKLAND. The Takanini trainer. C. F. Fenwick, had bad luck early this week when he lost a two-year-old colt by Songkoi from Hy-Spin, through injury. The colt, which Fenwick bought at the Trentham sales for $lO5O, broke a cannon bone while running in his paddock and had to be destroyed.
A half-brother to Corbassiere, the Songkoi colt was within a fortnight or so of being ready to race. He was on the small side but sturdy.
