Judges A. P. Blair and J. B. Thomson, of the Court of Arbitration, have been reappointed judges of the Compensation Court until January 31, 1969.—(P.A.) The chairman of British European Airways (Sir Anthony Mill ward) and Lady Millward arrived in Christchurch from Sydney yesterday for a holiday in the South Island. They will leave for Auckland on February 19. Mr H. A. Lake has been appointed district inspector for the State Services Commission in Christchurch. After joining the Public Service in Christchurch in 1936, Mr Lake served in the Ministry df Works, the Department of Industries and Commerce, the Department of Internal Affairs and the Forest Service, of which he has been chief executive officer since 1964. Mrs M. H. Smith arrived in Christchurch recently from England to become senior field officer for the Canter-bury-Westland branch of the Crippled Children Society.
