(N.Z. Press Association) WAITANGI, Feb. 6. The 128th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi was celebrated with pomp and colourful pageantry in the treaty house grounds tonight A 21-gun salute greeted the Union Jack as it was raised on the treaty grounds flagstaff. More than 5000 people watched the Governor-Gen-eral (Sir Arthur Porritt) inspect a Navy guard of honour and , heard him speak on the treaty’s significance.
