Hotel Manager From Abroad
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Feb. 5. Mr E. N. Behard, a graduate of Rome University and the Sorbonne, has been appointed general manager of the new Hotel Inter-Continental, whicb will open on March 15. He was resident manager of the London Hilton Hotel After early training in Monte Carlo hotels, the Savoy and Claridges in London, he worked in Barbados, was assistant vice-president of New York’s Waldorf Astoria and resident manager of the Cavalieri Hilton, Rome.
Declared Lost.—lsrael yesterday officially declared the submarie Dakar and her crew of 69 lost 11 days after the vessel's disappearance in the Mediterranean. Tel Aviv, Feb. 4.
