Apples In Air
(N.Z. Press Association)
NELSON, Feb. 6.
Gifts of Nelson apples to N.A.C. passengers on one through-flight each day will start towards the end of this month. A booklet in colour on the attractions of tiie Nelson district will be given with each apple. The idea is a project of the Nelson Provincial Progress League, supported by the Apple and Pear Board.
About two cases of fruit will be required each week. The apples will be selected from tree-ripened varieties received at a Stoke fruit cannery run by the board.
