Player To Defy Ban (N.Z.P. A. -Reuter— Copyright) SYDNEY. The New Zealand soccer representative. S. Nemet. will make his debut for Melita Eagles on Friday in spite of the threatening action by the New Zealand Football Association. writes John Nowak in the Sydney “Mirror.”
Nemet has been barred by the N.Z.F.A. from playing in Australia until a transfer fee has been paid, although bis former club in Wellington has given him a clearance. Mr Vince Pisani, the president of Melita, said yesterday: “lan McAndrew, the secretary of the Australian federation, has cabled the N.Z.F.A. several times, but has had no replv.
