Rural Youth Visitors
A group of 35 farmers’ sons and daughters from Queensland arrived in Christchurch yesterday tor begin'.a fortnight’s tour of New Zealand. They are members of Rural Youth, an organisation equivalent to a combination of the New Zealand' Young Farmers’ Clubs and Country Girls’ Clubs. The 21 girls and 11 young men are allsipgle, and range in age from -16 tp: 25. Their tour is costing them SA34O each and they plan to visit Mount Cook; the West Coast, Milford Sound, Rotorua and Waitomo Caves.
The visitors will be entertained by similar elubs in New Zealand, and they hope to Visit Massey College and some New Zealand farms.
