Vaccination Unofficial
(HJI. Press Association) GISBORNE, Feb. 4. The measles vaccination programme being undertaken by a small group of doctors headed by Dr Erich Geiringer did not have the full support of doctors on the East Coast, had nothing to do with the Health Department and had not been sanctioned by the department, the Medical Officer of Health in Gisborne (Dr P. Hinds) said yesterday. Dr Hinds, whose area includes the East Coast districts in which the proposed campaign is to be carried out, said that the vaccine to be used was supplied by a wellknown drug company; although it had been fully tested its use for a wide population dosage had not yet been assessed.
