A State Supreme Court judge has been indicted on charges of attempting to bribe two policemen who gave him a speeding ticket Judge James Roe pleaded not guilty to two counts of attempted bribery and was released on his own bail. The indictment alleges he offered $lO bribes to two policemen who stopped him near his summer home on Shelter Island. The charges carry penalties of up to 10 years in prison and a fine of $3OOO on each count.
