Share Market Firmer In Light Trading

The share market was firmer at the beginning of the week’s trading on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday. Trading was light, and in the New Zealand list confined mainly to second-line stocks.

B.H.P. led the gains in both lists, with a rise of 35c to 1860 c. The share touched 1890 c in both Wellington and Christchurch in a long string of fluctuating sales. Other good rises by overseas shares were A.C.1., up 14c to 305 c in ex dividend sales, and C.S.R., which rose 15c to 490 c. Mount Isa and Oil Search added 5c each, and
