Driver Suspended

DUNEDIN. M. Todd’s horseman’s licence was suspended until March 2 after an accident involving Jimmy Tryax (Todd) and Melitza Korjus (H. W. Skinner) in the Airways Handicap at Forbury Park on Saturday night. An inquiry was held Into the breaking of James Direct on the homo turn in the Visitors’ Handicap. It was found that James Direct was boring badly and came across Balmacraig, causing him to break. Royal Walk (T. M. May) hung
In and checked Brigade’s Advice (S. D. Edge) at the end of two furlongs. Alpine Lady wax declared ineligible to race at a totalis at or meeting until March 30, after the Dunedin Festival Cup. She broke with five furlongs and a half to run and checked several runners. A complaint was lodged against D- Kendall, a licensed person under the Rules of Trotting, on tho grounds of misconduct to two official gatekeepers employed by the Forbury Park club. After evidence from all concerned had been heard, Kendall was fined $4O.
