NEW STIPENDIARY MAGISTRATE SWORN IN.—Mr D. I. N. MacLean taking the oath as a stipendiary magistrate before Mr E. S. J. Crutchley, the senior magistrate in Christchurch, yesterday afternoon. Mr Mac Lean, who was in practice as a barrister and solicitor in Christchurch until recently, will preside at the Magistrate’s Court in Otahuhu, Auckland from February 1.
