New Orleans Subpoena (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) NEW ORLEANS, Jan. 24. The New Orleans District Attorney, Mr Jim Garrison, who claims there was a plot to assassinate President Kennedy, today subpoenaed Mrs Marina Porter, die widow of Lee Harvey Oswald. Oswald, the presumed assassin of President Kennedy, was himself shot dead by Jack Ruby two days after the assassination.
The subpoena requires the Russian-born Mrs Porter, aged 25, to give testimony before the New Orleans Parish Grand Jury on February 8 and 9.
