Earthquake Report
Sir, —On reading a report in this morning’s issue of “The Press” I noticed you state the earthquake was not felt at all at Arthur’s Pass. This is far from faet; it was quite a violent shake, lasting for about two seconds, and accompanied by a loud roar. The shake was violent enough to close the open lid of a radiogram.—Yours, etc., FACTS PLEASE. January 25, 1968.
