N.Z. Chopping Trialists
(N Z. Press Association) GREYMOUTH. Underhand chopping trials, for the New Zealand team to compete at the Sydney Royal Show, will be held on February 3 at Richmond, near Nelson. The standing chop trials will be held a fortnight later. The trialists are: G. Hocquard (Blenheim), A. Rose (Nelson), W. Curtain (Hokitika), M. Car ran (Riverton), S. Wybrow (Southland), D. McArtie (Auckland), R. Davidson (Tokoroa), J. Bently (Wairarapa). Reserves. R. Dickson and W. Liddell (both West Coast). League Contract.—The Kangaroo five-eighth, R. Branson, has signed a four-year contract to play Rugby League with the top Sydney club, St George.
