People should not blindly accept the findings of computers, said Mr R. D. Andrew, at a meeting of the executive of North Canterbury Federated Farmers yesterday. He said he bad received computer-calculated returns from a recent wool sale, which credited him with selling 60001 b of binned wool for $l4O. “I know wool prices are low, but not as low as that,” he said. "The mistake was rectified immediately, but—check your statements. “They say it is possible for a computer to pick the ideal I marriage partner, but on my experience, any young farmer I could be in for trouble.”
