Top Rider Injured
(N.Z Press Assn.— Copyright) ARCADIA (California). The top American jockey, W. Shoemaker, suffered a broken right leg in a fall tn a race at Santa Anita racecourse on Monday. Shoemaker was taken to the Arcadia Methodist Hospital, where an X-ray examination showed that he had suffered a fracture of the right thigh bone. At the same meeting Tobin Bronze missed victory by a neck when he ran second to Zip Pocket in the $8930 May Stock Farm Purse at Santa Anita.
