Chemists Burgled
Cameras, projectors and cash of a total value of $192 were taken from Reynolds Chemists, Ltd, Seaview Road, New Brighton, when it was broken into on Sunday night. In two thefts from parked cars on Sunday and Monday goods worth $99 were taken. A radio, camera and a movie camera were taken on Sunday from a car in Oxford Terrace and on Monday property valued at $24 was taken from a car in Cambridge Terrace. Thieves who broke into the Black Tulip roadside cafeteria on the Akaroa Highway, on Sunday night stole crockery, cutlery and foodstuffs of a total value of $7B. On the same night an unknown quantity of cigarettes was taken from a hairdresser's shop on the Main North Road. From Five Star Motors. Ltd, Kilmore Street, $6 in cash was taken.
Binoculars valued at $45 were stolen from a car at the car races at Wigram.
