(N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) ADELAIDE. The off-spinner, A. Mallett, was the hero of South Australia’s win by 14 runs over Queensland in a Sheffield Shield cricket match yesterday. With 23 minutes to stump* Mallett fielded surely, and threw a quick return to the bowler. T. Jenner, to run out the last Queensland batsman, P. Allen Scores. —South Australia seven for 40 declared and 279, beat Queensland 130 and 175. During the innings, Mallett took four for 52. He took four wickets in the first innings He has now taken 26 wickets in his six first-class games, getting nearer to a trip to England with the Australian team.
