Survey Of Crossings
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Jan. 22. A survey began this morning of all level crossings in Auckland as part of a national study recommended by a Parliamentary committee on road safety. Mr I. M. Malcolm, the former assistant chief engineer of the Railways Department, is making the survey. He is visiting each crossing with representatives of local bodies, traffic and road authorities, the Automobile Association, and the Engine Drivers’ Firemen and Cleaners’ Association..
